What we print

Three presses, one workflow

Whatever the process, the job goes through the same design → sampling → production discipline.

Offset printing

Cartons, catalogues, brochures, labels and stationery. The right process above break-even quantity: lower unit cost, exact Pantone matching, the widest finishing range.

Digital printing

Short runs, prototypes, versioned artwork and variable data. No plates and no make-ready — the fastest route from approved file to finished job.

Tube sticker pasting

Full-wrap labels applied to cosmetic, pharma and food tubes so cleanly they look printed. From 100 tubes, blank tubes supplied — the short-run alternative to a printed tube.

How we work

The difference is the middle step

Most printers take your file and print it. We put a stage in between.

  1. Design

Nothing is cut until the dieline is right.

We work from your artwork or build it, then run full prepress: preflight, colour separation, trapping, imposition and a dieline drawn to your product’s real dimensions. Errors are caught here, where they are free to fix.

    See detail
  2. Sampling

Nothing is printed until you approve the sample.

You get a physical sample in the actual board, cut and creased on the actual dieline. Digital proof, structural mock-up, or a full offset pre-production sample when colour has to be exact. Nothing goes to plate without your signed approval.

    See detail
  3. Production

Nothing ships until QC signs the batch.

Plates, press, finishing, die-cutting, folding and gluing — with in-process QC against the sample you approved, batch counts verified, and the job packed and dispatched to your deadline.

Industries

Packaging that has to satisfy someone other than you

Regulators, auditors, retail buyers and couriers all get a say in whether your packaging is right. We print for all of them.

  • Food & beverage

Food-grade substrates and inks, grease-resistant options, and structural designs that survive delivery rather than arriving crushed.

    Food & beverage packaging
  • Cosmetics & personal care

Rigid boxes, soft-touch lamination, foiling and embossing — the finishes that decide whether a product reads as premium on the shelf.

    Cosmetics & personal care packaging
  • Retail & e-commerce

Mailer boxes, branded shippers, tape, tags and inserts that make unboxing part of the product rather than an afterthought.

    Retail & e-commerce packaging
  • Corporate

Company profiles, annual reports, catalogues, stationery systems and gifting programmes — printed to one colour standard.

Packaging

Boxes, built to a dieline

Structural design first, then print. Choose a style and we will draw the dieline to your product’s real dimensions and the caliper of the board.

Why buyers move to us

Checkable, not remarkable

Every printer says the same things. These are the ones you can verify on your own job.

We show you the sample first

A digital PDF is not a sample. You see the real board, the real fold and the real finish before we commit a single plate.

We publish our terms

MOQ, lead time and what moves the price are on the product pages. No mystery quoting.

Export-ready output

Substrates, inks and packing specified for the destination market — including export-only pharma runs labelled to the importing country’s requirements.

One supplier, whole job

Printing, packaging, labels and gifts from one press means one artwork standard, one colour reference and one delivery.

Printing press in Lahore — offset, digital and packaging under one roof

Al Ashar Printers has operated as a commercial printing press in Lahore since 2017, producing offset and digital print, custom packaging, labels and branded corporate products for businesses across Pakistan and for export.

Choosing between offset and digital is mostly a question of quantity and colour. Offset lithography carries a fixed set-up cost — plates are imaged on a computer-to-plate system and the press is made ready before the first good sheet — so unit cost falls as the run lengthens, and it is the only process that matches Pantone spot colours exactly or carries the full range of finishing. Digital printing has no plates and no make-ready, so it is faster and cheaper for short runs, prototypes, versioned artwork and variable data such as serialised codes, while costing more per unit at volume. We run both, and we will tell you plainly which one your job belongs on.

For packaging, the work starts before either press. A dieline — the flat engineering drawing of cut lines, creases and glue flaps — is drawn to your product’s real dimensions and the caliper of the board it will be made from. Get it wrong and the die, a physical steel-rule tool, has to be remade. That is why we cut and crease a physical mock-up in the production board and put it in your hands before anything is printed.

Finishing is where packaging earns its shelf presence: gloss, matte and soft-touch lamination, UV and spot UV, hot foil stamping, embossing and debossing, window patching and anti-scuff coating. Each changes cost, lead time and how the pack survives handling, and each is explained in our printing glossary.

We serve pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, retail and e-commerce clients, and we deliver across Lahore — Model Town, Gulberg, DHA, Johar Town, Township and the city’s print districts around Urdu Bazar, Royal Park and Nisbat Road — as well as nationwide and for export.

Questions

Before you send us a job

Anything not answered here, ask us directly — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.

It depends on the product and process. Digital print starts at very low quantities, while offset packaging becomes more economical as the run lengthens — plates and make-ready are a fixed cost, so the longer the run, the lower the unit price. Tell us your quantity and we will confirm the minimum for your product with the quote.

Lead time runs from approved artwork and a signed sample, not from your enquiry — which is why the sampling stage matters. Rigid and hand-assembled boxes take substantially longer than folding cartons because they are wrapped by hand, and digital short runs are the fastest. We confirm a firm date with every quote.

Yes — and we recommend it. Digital proofs and structural mock-ups are standard; a full offset pre-production sample is available at cost where colour must be exact.

Both. We design from scratch, adapt what you have, or take print-ready files and run them through prepress.

Print-ready PDF in CMYK with 3 mm bleed, fonts outlined and images at 300 dpi. Full spec: artwork guidelines. Send anything you have and we will tell you what is missing.

Yes — nationwide, and we produce export orders for international clients.

Yes. Cartons, inserts, outserts and labels printed to your approved artwork. See pharmaceutical packaging.

Send quantity, size, substrate, colours and finishing through the quote form or on WhatsApp. With those five details we can usually quote the same working day.
