Who we are

Al Ashar Printers is a printing press and packaging converter based at Office # 98, MB Floor, Zainab Tower, Model Town Link Road, Lahore. We are the data controller for information submitted through this website.

What we collect, and when

We collect information only when you choose to send it. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no third-party script gathering data about you as you browse.

When you request a quote

• Your name, company, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, city and industry
• Details of the job: service, product, quantity, sizes, substrate, colours, finishing and deadline
• Any notes you add, and whether you have asked for design help
• Artwork you upload, if you choose to attach a file

When you send a message or request a sample

• Your name, company, phone number and email address
• The subject and content of your message, or the product and notes on a sample request

When you download a dieline template

• Your name, email address and company
• Which template you downloaded

Automatically, with any form submission

• The page you submitted from
• A one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address — used only to rate-limit automated submissions. We do not store the address itself and the hash cannot be reversed back to it
• The time of submission

Your artwork is confidential

This is the commitment that matters most to the people who use this site, so it is stated separately rather than buried in a list.

Artwork you send us is used for one purpose: quoting and producing your job. It is not shared outside our production team, not shown to other clients, not used as a portfolio sample, and not published anywhere without your written permission. That is why our portfolio is smaller than our output.

Uploaded files are stored outside the public area of this website and are not accessible over the internet. They are not indexed by search engines and cannot be reached by guessing a URL.

If you produce regulated or pre-launch packaging and need a formal confidentiality agreement in place before sending artwork, ask us and we will sign yours.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

We hold your information in order to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and produce and deliver work you order. That is the whole purpose. The lawful basis is the performance of a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before entering into one.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Marketing

We do not run a marketing mailing list from this website. If you download a dieline template we email you the template and a confirmation, and nothing else unless you ask us to.

If that ever changes, it will be opt-in and you will be asked at the point of collection rather than assumed into it.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside our team, with two unavoidable technical exceptions:

Service providers who process data on our behalf

• Our web hosting provider, on whose servers this website and its submissions sit
• Our email provider, which transmits the notification and the confirmation you receive

Both act on our instructions and neither uses your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

Where a job involves a production partner — a specialist finishing or die-making operation, for example — only the artwork and specification needed to produce your job is shared, and only for that job.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotations are kept while there is an active commercial relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards, because a repeat order in an existing size depends on us still holding the file and the specification. Keeping approved artwork is what makes a reprint match the original.

Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes are kept for as long as the law requires.

If you want your artwork and enquiry details deleted, ask us and we will delete them, subject only to records we must retain by law. Be aware that this also means a future reprint would have to start from new files.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie, and only on pages that contain a form:

There are no advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no cross-site trackers. Pages without a form set no cookie at all.

Analytics

No analytics or measurement service is currently running on this website. No third-party script is loaded and no usage data is sent anywhere.

If we add analytics in future, this section will be updated to name the service and describe what it collects before it goes live — not afterwards.

How we protect it

The whole site is served over HTTPS, so anything you send is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are validated on our server and protected against automated abuse. Uploaded files are checked and stored outside the publicly reachable area of the site, under generated filenames rather than the name you uploaded.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than claim otherwise. What we can say is that access to enquiries and artwork is limited to the people who need it to do your job.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Give you a copy of it
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it, subject to records we must keep by law
• Stop using it for a particular purpose

Email info@alasharprinters.com and we will respond. We will not charge you for this and we will not make it difficult.

Links to other sites

This website links to our sister retail store at aprints.pk, to our social media profiles, and to external references such as the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. We do not make changes quietly.
