Custom kraft boxes
Uncoated kraft board — natural finish, one or two spot colours
Natural, recyclable and unfussy — food, artisan and sustainability-led brands.
When another style suits you better
- Consider Mono cartons if you need photographic colour, which kraft mutes.
The dieline
How this box is cut and folded
A crash-lock (auto-bottom) base is glued flat at the factory and locks itself square as the box is opened — worth the extra board when packing speed matters.

Hold one before you order
A structural mock-up is cut and creased in the actual production board, on your actual dieline. You can check that your product fits, how rigid the board is and how the box opens — before anything is printed.
Tell us the product and the rough dimensions and we will confirm what we can make and what it costs.

Questions
Questions about kraft boxes
Anything not answered here, ask us directly — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Kraft is uncoated and naturally brown, so it absorbs ink and shifts colour. CMYK photographs look muted and muddy on it. Kraft work is usually designed for one or two spot colours, which is also cheaper.
Kraft board itself is widely recyclable, and it is often specified for that reason. Adding a plastic lamination or a film window changes that — if recyclability is the point of choosing kraft, we will suggest finishes that keep it.
An auto-bottom: the base is glued flat at the factory and locks itself square as the box is opened. It uses more board than a tuck base but removes an assembly step, which is worth it when packing speed matters.
Food-contact use depends on the board grade, the inks and any coating. Tell us the application and we will specify accordingly — see food packaging.
