Corporate print and brand collateral

Company profiles, annual reports, catalogues, stationery systems and gifting programmes — produced from one press against one colour reference, so the whole set looks like it came from one brand.

The problem

Collateral drifts when it is bought item by item

A profile printed here, business cards there and an exhibition banner from a third supplier will not match, because each is being run on a different press, on a different stock, to a different idea of what the brand blue is. The drift is gradual and nobody signs it off — it simply appears, and then a client sees two versions of your logo colour on the same table.

Buying the set from one press is what stops it: one colour reference, one paper specification, one delivery — and the approved file kept, so next year’s reprint matches this year’s rather than restarting the argument.

  • One colour reference, not three

The same brand colour built once and applied across every item in the set.

  • Files kept for the reprint

Next year’s run starts from this year’s approved file, not a fresh interpretation.

  • One delivery, one deadline

A launch or an AGM does not wait on the slowest of four suppliers.

Requirements

What corporate work has to satisfy

Corporate print is judged on consistency and on the date. Both are process problems rather than printing problems.

  • One colour reference built for the brand and applied across every item in the set
  • Brand guidelines followed as supplied, with any conflict raised before production rather than quietly resolved
  • Approved files retained, so a reprint matches the original instead of re-interpreting it
  • Version control across departments, so the document that goes to print is the one that was approved
  • Unpublished financial and strategic content handled as confidential and never shown as a work sample
  • Delivery scheduled to the event, with the long-lead items started first

What we produce for corporate brands

The whole collateral set, specified once and produced together.

Sectioned catalogues with consistent reproduction across product photography.

  • Brochures and leaflets

Folded and flat formats for sales teams and events.

  • Stationery systems

Letterheads, cards, envelopes, compliment slips and folders as one specification.

  • Presentation folders

Die-cut folders with pockets and business-card slits.

  • Diaries, calendars and planners

Dated products, where the deadline is genuinely fixed.

  • Corporate gifting programmes

Branded items and their packaging, produced and delivered together.

Standees, backdrops and signage matched to the printed collateral.

How your job runs

The process, adapted to a collateral set

The work is in making eight different items agree with each other.

See the full process
  1. 01

    Design

We take your brand guidelines and build one colour reference from them, then apply it across the whole set. Where an item needs a different substrate — an uncoated card against a coated report cover — we prove the colour on each rather than assume it will land in the same place.

See detail of the Design stage
  2. 02

    Sampling

You approve a printed proof on the actual stock for the colour-critical items, and a bound dummy for anything with a spine, so bulk, fold and cover finish are agreed before the run starts.

See detail of the Sampling stage
  3. 03

    Production

The set is run against one reference and delivered together. The approved files and the colour reference are kept, so next year’s reprint starts from what was signed off.

Quality control

Quality control and documentation

The controls that keep a set consistent this year and matching next year.

We hold no certification we can evidence on this page today. When we do, it will appear here with its issuing body, certificate number and expiry date — and not before.

  • One colour reference across the set

Built once from your guidelines and applied to every item.

  • Printed proof on the actual stock

Colour-critical items are proofed on the substrate they will print on.

  • Bound dummy for anything with a spine

Bulk, fold and cover finish are agreed before the run.

  • Confidential handling

Unpublished content is never shown as a work sample and never published without written permission.

  • Files retained for reprints

The approved file and the colour reference are kept against the job number.

Questions

Questions about corporate packaging

Anything not answered here, ask us directly — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.

On offset, yes — a spot or Pantone ink reproduces the colour exactly rather than simulating it in CMYK. On digital it is a close simulation, which is normally fine for internal documents and not fine for a cover. We will tell you which your job needs.

Usually because they are printed on different substrates, often by different suppliers. The same ink lands differently on uncoated card than on a coated cover, so we build one colour reference and prove it on each stock rather than assuming it will land in the same place.

Saddle-stitch for lower page counts — it lies flatter and costs less. Perfect binding once the page count gives you a spine worth printing on, which most profiles and annual reports want. We produce a bound dummy so you can feel the bulk before the run.

Yes. Unpublished financial and strategic content is treated as confidential, is never shown as a work sample, and is never published without written permission. That is why our portfolio is smaller than our output.

It will if we keep the file. The approved artwork and the colour reference are held against the job number, so a reprint starts from what was signed off rather than from a fresh interpretation of the brand guidelines.

Yes, and that is the main reason to buy the set from one press. We schedule backwards from the event and start the long-lead items first, so an AGM or a launch is not waiting on the slowest of four suppliers.
