Custom window boxes
Die-cut aperture with clear film patch — the product sells itself
When seeing the product does more selling than a photograph of it.
When another style suits you better
- Consider Mono cartons if the product is light-sensitive or needs a full print area.
The dieline
How this box is cut and folded
The aperture is die-cut in the front panel and a clear film patch is applied behind it. Keep the window clear of creases — a window across a fold will not sit flat.
Materials
What it can be made from

Hold one before you order
A structural mock-up is cut and creased in the actual production board, on your actual dieline. You can check that your product fits, how rigid the board is and how the box opens — before anything is printed.
Tell us the product and the rough dimensions and we will confirm what we can make and what it costs.

Questions
Questions about window boxes
Anything not answered here, ask us directly — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.
A clear film applied behind the die-cut aperture so the product is visible but still enclosed. Without it the box has a hole rather than a window.
Anywhere on a flat panel, in almost any shape. Keep it clear of creases — a window that crosses a fold will not sit flat and the film will lift. We check this at prepress.
It removes board, so yes, a large aperture reduces panel stiffness. On a big window we may recommend a heavier board or a smaller opening than the design first calls for.
Film patching mixes materials, which complicates recycling. If that matters, tell us — there are alternatives worth discussing before the design is finalised.
